Developing the Level of Students Health at Public Schools in Light of Contemporary Global Trends: A Suggested Proposal

Abstract

This study aimed to identify the students’ health level at public schools in light of contemporary global trends and the differences in the responses of the research sample about the level of school health considering (gender, scientific degree, years of experience). The study also sought to develop a suggested proposal. The descriptive analytical method was adopted, and a questionnaire was developed. The study sample consisted of (124) school principals and health supervisors in government schools. The results of the study revealed a weak level of school health in total and its three sub-dimensions. There were no statistically significant differences at α = 0.05 level between the responses of the study sample due to the target variables. The study also provided a suggested proposal for developing students’ health level at public schools. The study recommended the necessity of updating the indicators of school health in light of the contemporary global trends.
