A training program for those in charge of civil society organizations in the Republic of Iraq on the quality of life and its impact on the development of environmental responsibility among members

Abstract

The research aims to develop the environmental responsibility of those in charge of civil society organizations and its impact on members through a proposed program on the quality of life and measuring its effectiveness through testing the program on a research group consisting of (40) individuals in charge of civil society organizations and measuring the impact of the program on (50) A member of these organizations.
The study tools consisted of: Environmental Responsibility Scale, by applying the tools in advance, applying the proposed program to a group of organizations in charge, and then applying the tools afterward, the results showed about:
• There are statistically significant differences between the mean scores of the study sample (those in charge of civil society organizations) for the overall score of the environmental responsibility scale, where the value of T was (24.037), which is a significant value at a significant level (0.05), and the average scores for the pre-application sample was (103.43), The average scores of the post application sample are (193.8) in favor of the post application.
By applying the tools prior to the group of members of the organizations and then applying the tools in dimension to measure the impact, the results showed about: -
• There are statistically significant differences between the mean scores of the study sample (members of civil society organizations) for the overall score of the Environmental Responsibility Scale, where the value of T was (15.798), which is a significant value at a significant level (0.05), and the average of the scores of the pre-application sample was (96.06), and the average Scores of the post application sample (157.92) in favor of the post application.
In light of the results of the research, a number of recommendations can be made
1- Application of the proposed program to civil society organizations that were not included in the research.
2- Emphasis on the inclusion of quality of life and environmental issues in the training programs for those in charge of civil society organizations.
3- Establishing a department within the organizational organizational structure of organizations entrusted with the task of preserving the environment and improving the quality of life of the population, called: “Department of Environment and Quality of Life”.
4- The necessity to pay attention to the elements of quality of life in the framework of the completion of individual urban projects.
