Abstract

The aim of the research is Using the McComas ED3U inquiry learning model in modifying alternative perceptions related to space science among sixth-grade primary school students. and to ensure that there are alternative perceptions in space science, a personal interview was conducted with a group of sixth -grade primary students (30) pupils, The interview included the application of a test with some essay questions related to space science after studying the unit of the "universe" for the sixth grade of primary school, and it shows the analysis of the students' answers to the presence of some alternative perceptions related to space science, and the researcher has prepared the test of alternative perceptions consisting of (27) multi -selection singles, and the student's work papers , And the teacher’s guide.The research results reached the effectiveness of the ED3U learning model in amending alternative perceptions related to the concepts of space science of the sixth grade primary students. Among the most important recommendations of the research is the necessity of teachers ’interest in diagnosing alternative perceptions among learners, so that they do not stand in the way of them to acquire new knowledge and concepts, and to achieve learning with the concerned.
