Abstract

The research aimed at developing the environmental citizenship of members of local councils in Yemen to face environmental crises and disasters through the sustainable development goals, Researchers have compiled a list of environmental citizenship dimensions, A questionnaire was prepared to identify the current status of environmental citizenship with the plans and programs in the local councils in the last three years, A program has been prepared. It included: 32 workshops, where the experimental approach was adopted for one group, for a period of three weeks, and the results resulted in statistically significant differences between the mean scores in the scale in favor of the post application.The research recommended the necessity of implementing the program in the branches and units of the local councils in the various governorates of Yemen to activate methods of prevention and treatment of environmental crises and disasters to achieve the goals of sustainable development.
