A proposed strategy based on Constructivism in the Development Reading Comprehension Skills for Science Texts among Primary School Students

Abstract

The Study aimed of the Development Reading Comprehension Skills for Science Texts  with Strategy Sugusted based on Constructivism among Primary School, and to achieve the research objectives, a test reading comprehension skills for science texts were prepared, and a guide for the teacher and small book for student were prepared, the experimental approach based on the two independent experimental and control groups was used, where the research was applied to a random sample (40) students of the sixth grade of primary school. The results of the research showed that there were statistically significant differences between the mean scores of the experimental and control groups in the post application of the test reading comprehension skills for science texts in favor of the post application, the most important of which is the need to pay attention to use of the constructivism in teaching and development of reading Comprehension Skills for Science Texts.
