Effectiveness of a training program to develop elements of environmental literacy for journalists through an interactive website

Abstract

The aim of the research is to develop environmental enlightenment among journalists through a training program on the interactive website.A list of environmental issues has been prepared,the content of the training program has been prepared, and a measure of environmental enlightenment has been prepared in its three dimensions (knowledge - trends - skills) and to ensure its validity and consistency,and to determine The research sample(36 journalists),and the scale was applied before and after training on the program,and the results of the research indicated that there are statistically significant differences between the averages of the journalists’scores in the dimensions of the environmental enlightenment scale, as well as in the scale result in general in favor of the post-application.Among the recommendations, including the necessity to include the environmental dimension in the training programs for journalists and to benefit from the proposed program.
