Abstract

The aim of the present research is to identify the effectiveness of a proposed program in sustainable development based on cognitive journeys (Web Quest) in the development of cognitive achievement and environmental responsibility among students of the fourth year of science in basic education, Faculty of Education, Alexandria University. Fourth Semester of Science Faculty of Education - Alexandria University for the academic year 2017/2018 The second semester The sample was divided into two groups (experimental group- and a control group), the teaching of the experimental group according to the program of sustainable development using the Web Quest, did not teaching program program of sustainable development using the Web Quest for the control group < /p>
the research found the following results:-
 - There is a statistically significant difference at the level of P> 0.05 between the mean scores of the experimental and control group in the post-application of the achievement test for sustainable development.
- There is a statistically significant difference at the level of P> 0.05 between the mean scores of the experimental group and the control group in the remote application of the environmental responsibility scale. The research recommended the need to include the courses of a program on sustainable development in the decisions of the fourth year students in basic education, Science Division, Faculty of Education..
