The effectiveness of using educational bags as a model for constructive learning in science teaching on academic achievement and reflective thinking among middle school students in the city of Makkah Al-Mukarramah

Abstract

This study aimed at investigating the effectiveness of using constructivist Learning Strategy (CLS) based on  Leaning Package on the achievement of second grade students of intermediate  school learning science  and their  reflective thinking measurement as compared with the traditional method of teaching science . A learning Package was developed using the (CL) . Two second grade class section were selected , one section assigned as experimental group, and the second section  as control group. After a six – sessions experiment, a post- test was administered to all sample members. The findings reveled that there is a statistically significant difference (α = 0.05) on the post- test scores and thinking reflective measurement   between the experimental group and the control group in favor of the experimental group. The research findings indicated the necessity of adopting the Learning Package and reflective  thinking based on the constructive  learning strategy in teaching science for the second level classes.
